Transfer Admission of Returnees from Abroad

What is transfer admission of returnees from abroad?
A student who has studied in an educational institution of a foreign country for more than 6 months returning to Korea and being readmitted to the grade at the time of enrollment or to a higher grade level.
Scope of Permission
- Transfer admission is permitted outside the quota within 3% of the total number of students in the relevant grade.
Procedure
- Prepare related documents and apply to a school near a student’s residence.
Required documents
- Academic transcript of previous grade in a school of a foreign country (Apostille confirmation or confirmation by the ambassador of the relevant country to Korea)
- Enrollment (graduation) certificate of last attended school in Korea
- Certificate of departure and arrival
- Resident registration certificate of entire family (issued after returning to Korea)
- Vaccination certificate
