High School Transfer

What is school transfer?

A student enrolled in another school becoming a student enrolled in our school.

Target of school transfer

  • A person relocating to a residence in another school district (region) as a member of an entire family comprising a single household.
    • "Entire family” refers to parents and a student subject to school transfer & transfer admission.
    • Single household refers to a case where the entire family is registered to a residence where the father or mother is the head of the household.

Transfer period

  • Between schools in the same field of study : Before the start of the 2nd semester of 3rd grade of the enrolled school
  • Between schools in the different field of study : Before the 2nd exam of the 1st semester of 2nd grade of the enrolled school
  • However, it is allowed within the scope that does not interfere with the completion of a curriculum.

Documents to be submitted

Common documents to be submitted (for all students subject to transfer)

  • High school transfer & transfer admission application form (equalized area)
  • A copy of resident registration (not submitted when jointly using administrative information)
  • Consent to Collect and Use Personal Information

① In case the father or mother is a ‘government employee or office worker’ who cannot relocate their address
  • 1 copy of employment certificate
  • 1 copy of basic certificate (detailed) under student’s name
  • 1 copy of family relation certificate under student’s name
② In case the father or mother is an entrepreneur who cannot relocate their address
  • 1 copy of business registration certificate of the father or mother who is unable to relocate
  • 1 copy of basic certificate under student’s name
  • 1 copy of family relation certificate under student’s name
③ If the whereabouts of the father or mother is unknown
  • 1 copy of family relation certificate under student’s name
  • 1 copy of certificate for reporting missing parents to police station
④ In case parents are divorced When application is made by the father or mother with parental rights
  • 1 copy of basic certificate (detailed) under student’s name
  • 1 copy of family relation certificate under student’s name
When application is made by the father or mother with no parental rights
  • 1 copy of basic certificate (detailed) under student’s name
  • 1 copy of family relation certificate under student’s name
  • 1 copy of consent to school transfer by a person with parental rights
In case parents have joint custody
  • 1 copy of basic certificate (detailed) under student’s name
  • 1 copy of family relation certificate under student’s name
  • 1 copy of consent to school transfer by a person with parental rights who is not an applicant
⑤ In case parents are deceased
  • 1 copy of basic certificate (detailed) under student’s name
  • 1 copy of family relation certificate under student’s name
⑥ In case parents are separated
  • 1 copy of basic certificate (detailed) under student’s name
  • 1 copy of family relation certificate under student’s name
  • 1 copy of consent to school transfer by a separated person with parental rights
⑦ In case the father or mother is unable to relocate for ‘Jeonse deposit protection’
  • 1 copy of basic certificate (detailed) under student’s name
  • 1 copy of family relation certificate under student’s name
  • 1 copy of Jeonse agreement with confirmation date from administrative welfare center
⑧ In case of a person scheduled to move into a new apartment (housing, etc.) after sale (new construction)
  • A document that can confirm that a person is scheduled to move in (within 6 months)
  • 1 copy of written pledge
⑨ A person unable to form a single household among persons of bad credit standing or persons declared bankrupt
  • 1 copy of certificate of a person declared bankrupt
⑩ Other person unable to form a single household of an entire family
  • 1 copy of statement of reasons

  • Submission by visitation: Gyeongsangnamdo Office of Education Secondary Education Department (4th floor)
  • Fax submission: 82+ 55-268-1189, 82+ 55-268-1209

Procedure for school transfer to educational equalized area

    Relocate residence

    Prepare school placement application (Seal of school transferred from (previous school) and applicant & guardian’s seal required)

  3. 03

    Submit prepared school placement application and related documents (by visitation or fax)

  4. 04

    Notification of school placement result [school transferred from, school transferred to, petitioner (text message)]
