What is transfer of school for career change?

A system in which a student enrolled in a regular high school applies for transfer to a specialized high school or a student enrolled in a specialized high school applies for transfer to a regular high school.

Target

• A student enrolled in 1st grade of high school (excluding special-purpose high school, alternative specialized high school, accredited high school) within Gyeongsangnam province

Period

• Once a year (during August)

Required documents

• Application form for transfer of school for career change
• School principal’s recommendation
• School record (including NEIS grade report)
• Resident registration certificate

Procedure

• Specialized high school → regular high school in educational equalized area : Apply by visiting Secondary Education Department of Gyeongsangnamdo Office of Education
• Specialized high school → regular high school in unequalized area : Apply to applicable school
• Regular school → specialized high school : Apply to applicable school
