They will be a guide to new life.

What is a “College student mentoring system” for multicultural families?

It is an act of sharing from college students (mentors) for multiculturalsim and North Korean defectors (mentees) to aid in the adaptation of their school life and for the improvement of basic scholastic abilities such as basic learning, career counseling, and cultural exchanges activities.

The goals are to
  • Improve basic learning ability and interest, as well as confidence in learning, with individualized consulting.
  • Provide educational service opportunities for school education
  • Provide opportunities to develop skills and aptitudes
  • Provide efficient education services through a community education cooperation network

1 Teaching underachieving students basic knowledge Teaching academic subjects such as Korean language, essay writing, English, math, science, etc.
2 English and English conversation Teaching English basic learning abilities and English conversation.
3 Teaching specialty Cartoons, origami, samulnori, fancy writing, clay, various musical instruments, etc.
4 Career counseling / personality instruction Career guidance and counseling, emotional healing, personality instruction, etc

How to apply

  • Application period : Early March ~ Mid March (according to the yearly schedule)
  • Application method : Separate for each school (varies by school)
  • Qualification : Elementary, middle, and high school students in multicultural families in the province. (Students who do not receive customized KSL classes are prioritized)
